There is no explanation as to what the “d” denotes – I tried to resolve the problem by substituting “d” with [Current Date] – this was an improvement, or so I thought in that there was no error in the formula as follows:. However – my formula does not appear to deliver what I was expecting which is to identify tasks in the next 2 weeks window of time, in all cases the field shows a default No value.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to achieve what Bill has promoted in his example of using Project for Kanban? When I first copied and pasted Bill’s formula to my custom field I got an error on the first “d” argument in the DateAdd. I believe that was simply due to a translation from the HTML. In Bill’s formula the number is negative so effectively the date calculated by the formula is 14 days before the date i.
So the formula looks a tasks in a window that spans two calendar weeks ago to two calendar weeks from now. I’m not quite sure of the intent but in my view the formula has something missing, namely, it still highlights completed tasks that are previous to the 4 week window see screen shot below. Note that task ID 6 still shows a “yes” for Flag1 even though it is beyond the window of interest but is complete.
John – thanks for taking the time to investigate and provide a worked example, you have done better than me as I could not get the original formula to work. I am in touch with Bill and hope to have an update from him soon. My understanding is that the formula is intended to identify tasks in the next 2 weeks that are not yet started.
